Telcon Message Area
Telcon Message Area
This is a message area the program uses to give the user some information
when it is inappropriate to pop open a dialog requester. The possible
messages and their meanings are:
- Waiting for picture taking to finish. - the
telescope is wanting to move (as requested by the user),
but a camera is taking a picture and it must wait for the picture
to finish before being allowed to move. Under most circumstances, this
message won't stay visible long.
- Waiting for long observation to finish. - the
telescope is wanting to move (as requested by the user),
but a camera is taking a long, or multi-cycle observation, so
the telescope cannot move until the observation is done. Typically, this
would be the case with a long VMG.
- Waiting to update until picture taking is finished. -
the program wants to update the coordinates for accumulated flexure or rotation
but can't because a camera is taking a picture. Typically, this message
won't stay visible long.
- Waiting to update until long observation is finished. -
the program wants to update the coordinates for accumulated flexure or rotation
but can't because a camera is taking a long, or multi-cycle observation.
Typically this would only be the case with a long VMG.
- Am not updating until you finish with the terror box. -
the program wants to updates the telescope's position for rotation and/or
flexure, but can't until the user responds to a displayed error box.
- Working on loading a new solar image.... - a new
image is in the process of being obtained and loaded. This is a long
process, so don't lose patience and wonder where the image is until after
this and the next message have disappeared.
- Loading the new image. The GUI won't respond until it's
loaded. - the new image is ready for display. Since it takes a few
seconds to load the image, the GUI will not be able to respond to user
actions while this message is displayed.
