I am currently an astronomer at the Gemini Observatory, operating out of Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. Some of my principal projects at Gemini have included GHOST, the high resolution optical spectrograph for Gemini, the GMOS CCD upgrades, and WFMOS (before its transformation to PFS). I also maintain (at least somewhat) a blog on astronomy management.
Scientifically, my primary interests are science from large scale surveys and white dwarf stars and the clues they provide us on stellar evolution and Galactic/Universal history.
You can contact me here.
I also have other interests besides astronomy. Enjoy!
